Rely-AMP HCV
Hepatitis C is a disease caused by a virus that infects the liver. The hepatitis C virus is a bloodborne virus. It is most commonly transmitted through: injecting drug use through the sharing of injection equipment; in health care settings due to the reuse or inadequate sterilization of medical equipment, especially syringes and needles; in some countries, HCV is transmitted via the transfusion of unscreened blood and blood products; HCV can also be transmitted sexually, and can be passed from an infected mother to her baby. The diagnosis of HCV infection is established with antibody screening followed by NAT for HCV RNA for confirmation as well as for follow-up of patients on treatment.

Rely-AMP HCV is an in vitro assay for the quantitation of hepatitis C viral ribonucleic acid (HCV RNA) in human serum from HCV-infected individuals. Rely-AMP HCV provides all necessary reagents for reliable extraction and HCV RNA detection. The kit is intended to assist the evaluation of the response to antiviral drugs measuring the changes of HCV RNA levels in serum.
