KAIROS-24 is a fully automated standalone platform for the identification of DNA and RNA sequences in biological samples. KAIROS 24 integrates sample insertion and identification stages, nucleic acid extraction, qPCR plate preparation, signal amplification and identification, automatic analysis of results and reporting. The various processes are automated on a single platform and managed by integrated software that guides the user through all stages of the process.

KAIROS-24 instrumentation allows the automated extraction of nucleic acids from 24 samples, preparation of PCR plates and their reading. KAIROS-24 integrates a detector (Real Time PCR technology) with 96 reading positions, 5 excitation and reading wavelengths to allow the execution of 5 parameters in parallel.

Software

The integrated software reliably manages all the components and processes of the Kairos system.

The software allows the independent and simultaneous management of the extraction and detection process, increasing the productivity of the system and decreasing the time between consecutive sessions.

The sample's information is tracked through all stages of the process from the identification of the ID to the analysis of the results and the transfer of data to the LIS.

Safety

  • Worktable decontamination by UV light
  • Automatic decontamination of the fluidics system
  • Solid and liquid waste automatically transferred to containers for disposal
  • Automatic check of the presence of worktable components
  • The operator's safety is guaranteed by sensors and automatic locks that allow the execution of the protocol only when the instrument is closed
